The important factors affecting grafting dispersing antioxiding group ontoethylene/propylene copolymer (OCP), such as the temperature of graft, aminate, and theantioxiding reaction, and the addition amount of maleic anhydride, the peroxide, polyenemultiamine, and the antioxidant, were investigated in two steps experiments in the lab.The first step is doing experiment in order to investigate the factors of addition amount ofmaleic anhydride, and oleylamine and the temperature during graft and aminate. In this step,dispersing ethylene/propylene copolymer (DOCP) was obtained. Samples were characterizedby using of nitrogen content and IR spectrum. The experiments of spot dispersing, TFOUT,Deposit Control test, ultrasonic shearing, thickening property and low temperature visciditywere done to evaluate the samples comprehensive characters. It was found that there are strongIR absorbing peaks at 1770cm-1 and 1710cm-1 in the condition that the addition amount ofmaleic anhydride were m +0.15 and oleylamine were M+0.4 respectively and the temperatureof graft and aminate were T+80±20℃and T+50±2℃respectively. A good comprehensivecharacter was seen in these conditions. Thus, the reaction conditions of DOCP were confirmed.The second step is investigating the factors of anilin antioxidant addition amount and thereaction temperature. As in the first step experiment, using IR spectrum analyse the samples.The techniques were used to evaluate the sample are spot dispersing, TFOUT, DepositControl test, ultrasonic shearing, thickening property, low temperature viscidity, and nitrogencontent. It shows that there are strong imide IR absorbing peaks not only at 1770cm-1 and1710cm-1 but also at 1600cm-1 in the condition that the addition amount ofmaleic anhydrideand oleylamine were M+0.5 and the reation temperature were T+60±2℃. A goodcomprehensive character was also abtained in these conditions. As a result, the reactionconditions of dipersing antioxide ethylene/propylene copolymer (DAOCP) were confirmed.Characterizing the sample in Beijing Research Institute of Petroleum Processing showsthat the dispersing and antioxide group was grafed onto the copolymer. The experimentproject is succeeded. It had been medium-sized amplified at the lab condition; the obtained medium-sized amplifyingproduct had the same qulity with the product of the lab experiment. The product is succeeded inthe text of MSⅢD and MSⅤD, showing that DAOCP products have good dispersing and Anti-Oxidative Effects.
