The Study On The Viscosity Index Improver Of Poly Methyl Acrylic Ester

The Viscosity Index Improver(VII)is one of the common addition agent in the lubricating oil.With the rapid development of machinery industry and automobile industry in China,the demand of lubricating oil is also increasing.This would lead to the development of the viscosity index improver.In this contest,this paper begins to carry out the research on the viscosity index improver of poly methyl acrylic ester(PMA).Choosing 150 SN base oil producing in daqing petrochemical refinery as the target base oil,Some physical and chemical properties test on 150 SN base oil are implemented.Methyl acrylic ester(CAM),maleic anhydride(MA),vinyl acetate(VA),styrene(St)and methyl methacrylate(MMA)are chosen as monomers,and a series of viscosity index improver of poly methyl acrylic ester,such as C8?C10?C12?C14?C16?CM?CV?CS?CM2?CSV?CSM,are synthesized with solution polymerization.The relative molecular weight of polymeric products is measured by viscosity method,and the molecular structure of polymeric products is characterized by infrared spectrometry(IR).The viscosity index(VI)of 150 SN base oil is evaluation target,and through designing single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment,the most optimal synthesis conditions of Polymerization are determined,just as follow: the dosages of solvant are 25 mL/mol;the dosages of initiator are 1.0wt%;the polymerization temperatures are 80 ?;and the polymerization times are 6 h.The effects of polymeric products to 150 SN base oil are measured,and from the results,the major influencing factors,such as the dosages of additive?the length of side alkyl chains ? the kind and proportion of polar monomer in the PMA,are analysed.The thickening ability?shear stability ?flow properties at low temperature of polymeric products to 150 SN base oil,are also determined.The synthesized polymethacrylate(PMA)are compounded,and the compounded viscosity index improver(VII)for 150 SN base oil is researched and developed.
