Research On Ecological Planning Of Small Town During The Urbanization Process

In China, it is important to develop the small town sustainablly for implementing theurbanization and sustainable development stratagem, however followed with the rapiddevelopment, the ecological problem of small towns has been becoming more and moreserious which has affected the developing power of towns. It is imperative to identify theprimary reason of ecological crisis, to solve effectively the ecological problem and topromote sustainable development of towns.As a primary instrument of ecological regulation, ecological planning which based onthe theories of ecology, sustainable development and cycle economy is effective to insurethe healthy, safety and sustainable development of the town ecosystem. In this paper, thetheory and practice of small town ecological planning during the urbanization process areresearched. Main research work has been listed as follows:1) Based on the theory of complex ecosystem, the structure, function and character ofthe small town ecosystem are discussed, also, with the survey and analysis, the primaryecological problems and causes of the small towns sited Suzhou New Department (SND)are identified.2) The theories and the uncertainty of small town ecological planning are discussed,which indicates that it is necessary to consider the particularity during small townecological planning.3) Based on the uncertainty, the function, cause, method and content of small townecological planning are proposed.4) A representative case study in Xushuguan town sited SND is presented. In the case,firstly, the available content and method are ascertained, and then, according to theanalysis of actuality and suitability, the goal and emphases of ecological planning are set,finally, based on the division of ecological function area, the developing alternatives ofecological economy, ecological habitation, ecological center-town and ecologicalprotection are studied detailedly.
