Blasting ring cold machine, which is designed for cooling sinter, is widely adopted for its compact structure and low cost. It's development is a huge project. The former research and development of ring cold machine, which design and calculate were based on the experiences, not only complicate the work, but also affect the develop process, because the complicate structure cause the remodify of the parameters in the sketches. This paper using software UG and ADAMS to found a virtual prototype for simulation and improved the circular cooler SHG396 to void the mistakes may arisen in the former design, it made the ring cold machine running success at first time.The follow work is done in this paper:(1) Based on the ring cold machine design criteria and the analysis demand, UG is used to found a ring cold machine model, and made a clearance check, modified the error in the design sketch. Improved the cooler's performance, cut the cost for the company, and shorten the product time.(2) Found a predigest model of ring cold machine in UG, and use the exchange interface Parasolid, exchanged the model into ADAMS for simulate the process that the trolley running on the unloading bend.(3) After analyzed the running principle of ring cold machine, put out a analytical methods for unloading bend, deduced the accurate equation of the unload bend, found a accurate model for dynamical simulation.(4) Calculated the contact stress between the trolley tire and orbit, and estimated the contact fatigue life of the wheels and orbit, did an analysis of the affection that the point contact acting on the contact fatigue life.
