In recent years, indoor air quality (IAQ) has been a hot spot in building environment and preventive medicine domains. Residensial house is extremely close to people daily life, since they spent more than a half time in it. In our country, rural population is multitudinous. Inferior quality fuel burning in crude furnace made indoor air polluted seriously. Therefore, to study indoor air quality in rural residential house has important significance in improving indoor air environment and people health.Typical houses using different fuels were selected for testing in this thesis. A month-long test was carried on respectively in winter and summer, and rich data had been obtained. SPSS software package was employed to statistic the test data. Based on it, main work what had been done are as follows: compared and analyzed the variation of IAQ at different time, space and people activities; assessment of the dwelling IAQ was done by synthesis exponential method; regression idea was applied to establish the linear regressing equation of carbon monoxide (CO) density, air change ratio, fuel type and furnace efficiency, then pollutant concentration level caused by combustion was forecasted.The analysis indicated that, except for Radon, the daily variation of other contaminant was strongly affected by burning activity, and maximum values appeared at cooking or heating time; in winter, air change ratio was very low, after burning activity, contaminant density was still very high for a long time, however, in summer, air change ratio was higher, contaminant density could soon fall to a low level; the assessment results showed that the order of IAQ in tested household was: electricity household, nature gas household, firewood household and coal-burning household; when fuel and furnace were fixed, CO pollution could be controlled if the air change ratio was larger than 2.0.All the results presented in this thesis could be a reference for knowing and improving the indoor air quality at rural area residential house in northeast.
