The Study Of Eco-City Construction In Tanggu Based On Eco-City Theory

The sustainable development has become the common goal of human beings under the circumstance of sharper contradiction between people & recourses and economy & environment. More and more people have known the concept of eco-city. The eco-city construction in China began in 1990, and has built different kinds of demonstrations which have extensive values such as eco-city,eco-county,eco- village,eco-industry plants and so on. This study discusses the indexes system and synthetically evaluation based on the basic theories of ecology,systematic engineering and sustainable development. Tanggu—the core area of Binhai new district in Tianjin is selected as evaluation object. The study synthetically analyses the advantage and deficiency of economy development,environment protection and society progress of eco-city construction in Tanggu, puts forward the directional suggestions for the development of Tanggu in the future.The study includes five chapters. In chapter one, introduces the background of eco-city theories and basic theories. Comparatively analyses the development of eco-city theories and practice processing in home and abroad. It brings forward the study's aim and methods.In chapter two, analyses the advanced cities in eco-city construction such as Changshu,Jiangyin,Kunshan,Zhangjiagang, sums up the characteristics and common points of these cities and the successful experience in China.In chapter three, compares the current situation of Tanggu in 2005 with the standard value of indexes, analyses the advantages and gaps of eco-city construction based on the 28 indexes of eco-city construction in worked out by national environment protection bureau. Putting forward the aim,severn main construction contents of Tanggu eco-city construction .In chapter four, the conclusion of construction is completed in the next several years. Puts forward the five ensured methods, such as organization insurance,law insurance,capital insurance,technology insurance and society insurance, provides strong support for eco-city construction. From the study, we know that the eco-city construction is an action that concentrating efforts on harmonious coexists between human beings and natural resources, city and region development synchronization, harmony and sustainable development of social economy and ecological relationship. Tanggu is the core of national Binhai new district, the eco-city construction is foremost and also the main way of construction of habitable eco-city. In the future, Tanggu will become a seaside ecological city which economy,society and ecology exist in harmony by eco-city construction.
