The ball mill is the important equiqment in the mineral processing, It is extensively applied in metallurgy, chemical engineering,building material and the other deparments. Particularly it is more important in metallurgy mining. With the increasing demand of the ore products , Raising the grinding efficiency will directly affects the economy benefit of the mineral processing plants, The grinding work occupys a very important position in the flowsheets of mineral processing. The quality of the grinding products exerts a very big influence on the mineral processing work, so it is very important to improve the grinding process and raise the grinding efficiency for the increase of the technical economy index of the mineral processing plants.The thesis is mainly about how to select the working parameters (filling ratio) of ball mill and does theory research and industrial experiments.The thesis analyses the motion style of griding medium in ball mill; the key point is that the steel ball moves with tumbling cylinder like parabola track. and makes the dynamics simulation analysis to the ball mill, obtains the sport stacks of different position of griding balls in the ball mill ,the angle and the position with grinding balls thrown and fallen. what the result of the dynamics simulation analysis is done in this thesis is appropriate for the whole ball mill. Tentative exploration to the quantify description of the grinding ball in the ball mill, provides the scientific foundation for the dynamics simulation analysis of the grinding ball in the ball mill. The motion state of grinding balls is concerned with not only the speed of turning, but more packing fraction.We did filling ratio experiments in industrial production. We did experiments about the effects of different ball mill structure to grinding effects, we also check the different filling ratio effects that ranged from 37% to 48%, we confirm the best filling ratio parameters according to the results got fromφ3200×3100mm ball mill. Finally we found the best filling ratio should range from 43% to 46%.The experiments results showed that the grinding efficiency was in best state when the filling ratio ranged from 43% to 46%, the grinding granulation fitted the second-stage grinding request and can make the ball mill work most effectively.
