The ball mill is an essential machine that widely used in Mining enterprises, and its grinding efficiency and energy, material consumption determines the entire enterprise production capacity and economic benefits. In actual production process, the consumption of ball mill liners and the grinding ball account for a large proportion of the costs. therefore, further study of the mill is very necessary and valuable for the grinding production.The grinding productivity is caused by many factors, such as: the liner material, the type of liner, ball ratio, cylinder speed, filling rate, grinding materials and so on. Currently, the fixed speed ball mill are commonly used, and the grinding efficiency is badly influenced in the condition of ball mill work at a fixed speed. In this paper, based on the collected data from milling company production site and a large number of relevant literature about the factors affecting grinding, Through the analysis of forces and motion status of individual ball referral, motion trajectory of ball referral circular and falling, we derive mediator ball trajectory equation; Based on the effect of the parameters of ball referral impact properties, location and impact angle on motion trajectory, establish the mathematical equations of liner life, and then analyzes the structure of the liner, the forces influencing parameters and liner surface liner life; With the variable of cylinder liner wear and ball speed, three sets of simulation program are made to study the regulation of speed fill the effect of different amounts of the liner wear on the grinding efficiency using of DEM simulation software. The simulation results shown that properly regulation of ball mill speed can be an effective solution to solve the phenomenon grinding efficiency is badly influenced by the fixed ball mill speed.At the same time, we study the system design of Ball Mill speed regulation. The essence of the ball mill speed regulation is drive motor speed regulation. In Matlab software platform, take permanent magnet synchronous motors for the object, combined with sinusoidal phase permanent magnet synchronous motor mathematical model and rotor field oriented vector control principle, the establishment of permanent magnet synchronous motor speed control in Simulink simulation model in order to achieve cylinder speed control in Matlab/Simulink simulation.
