Along with the energy issue become worse, the requirements that research and develop the less energy consumption devices is greater than before, especially in the high energy consumption industry, for example, cement, mining, electric generation and so on. In this case, Horomill is more popular than other grinding machine, for it's efficiency and energy saving capacity. Science 1990's, some foreign enterprises kick off their development and application projects. During the past days, these enterprise accumulated lots of design experience, and the energy saving capacity of Horomill is also bring much economical profit to the customer. However, the status of Horomill development in China is on the prime period. Much of basic theories need to be developed, such as grinding principle, energy consumption, loads calculation and so on. The material property numerical simulation and modern design methods are another point that we should pay good efforts on. To push the Horomill development processes, research the efficiency and energy saving grinding machine, this dissertation take the researches on the following points:1.Grinding principle of the HoromillGeneral conclude the development status of grinding theories, especially for the grinding principle and grinding machines. Introduce the working principium and structure characters. Explain the factors that the development status of Horomill in China, and conclude the open issue of Horomill. Discuss the impact to the material property generated by different grinding property, material bed character and loads type. Take the adaptability analysis of grinding principle on Horomill, especially under different test conditions, such as different roller shape, different speed of loads and so on.2.Adaptability study on energy consumption theoryIntroduce the energy consumption theories, include the development of these theories, the unite energy equation and RRB energy equation. Create the mathematical model between the power consumption and the particle size, in this way, develop the energy theories in the Horomill side. 3.Parameter and Loads calculationBoth the structure parameters calculation and process parameters calculation are quite complicate, and nowadays, there is no uniform calculation system. This dissertation give a proposal of the calculate order for most of the parameters; create the mathematical models for structure dimensions and loads, and take the validation with CAE simulation; Take the numerical simulation on the material property, transfer the complicate particle material parameter to the normal solid property, especially in Yield tension and Poisson's ratio. Take the quartz as an example, the calculation results which be generated from theory formulation and CAE simulation matched well. And then, create the power and torque formulation.4.FEM analysis of the roller and the cylinderCreate the FEM model for Roller-material-Cylinder system; According to the reality situation, determine the boundary conditions, and take the nonlinear contact analysis, which is much more precise than the static-linear one. By the general post process, plot the Von Mises stress on geometry and graph, so do the displacement, which is quite important to the optimization process of the structure. And then, check the stiffness of some significant parts.Finally, make a detail conclusion to the complete dissertation, show the directions to the next step study. For additional, the analysis method used in this dissertation and the conclusions are quite important to the following design work.
