The technology of aerobic composting is a effective way for the disposal of organic solid waste. For many years, A lot of study has been developed, and a great number of outcome has been gained. But we seldom find the systematical and comprehensive study on the mass conservation and energy conservation in composting reaction. In this article, the systematical and deep study on the mass conservation and energy conservation in composting reaction has been proceeded based on deep study on basic mechanism of aerobic composting and took advantage of principle such as microorganism kinetic model and energy conservation law as well as second law on dynamics. Some material balance design formulas for pre-treatment, which can be used to calculate parameter such as quality regulator. Then calculation formulas of compress, porosity and permeability are given. It also builds balance equations for air, solid and liquid in composting reaction. Energy balance relations are set up. At the same time it introduces the calculation measures of parameters in the relations. These calculation formulas can help to design composting plant and provide theory direction for engineering practice. In addition, human-machine interface is founded with Visual Basic programme which can simplify calculation process. At last, the object is municipal solid waste, and calculation is carry out in order to test the correct of these calculation formulas and Visual Basic programme. This process can make readers more deeply understand these calculation formulas and Visual Basic programme. The calculation result demonstrates the calculation formulas is feasible in permitted range of error. The programme is also proper. And the reason of error is analyzed.
