The thesis mainly studys the energy balance method of the paper system in the Chinesepulp and paper industry, which select the five kinds of typical domestic paper-makingmachines as research subjects, including the cylinder paper machine, the ordinary fourdriniermachine, the horizontal gap paper machine, the net stack paper machine and the starch coatedmachine. By studying the calculation methods of the five kinds of paper machine’s heat,power and thermal efficiency, we can get that the units’ production’s water, electricity, gasconsumption, and ultimately complete the standards for paper machine energy consumption.The theoretical basis of the article is the first law of thermodynamics and the second lawof thermodynamics. The key technology is to determine the energy balance. The specificimplementation steps are:Through the investigations and studies of the plant we collect the required informationand data. According to the characteristics of the system we can clear the system boundary.Baseing on the material balance we can draw block diagram of energy balance and identifythe process parameters. Each unit in accordance with input energy and output energy iscalculated separately and preparate the energy balance table. Finally, according to GB6421-86enterprises we can flow diagram drawing method, select the appropriate ratio anddraw out the system of energy flow diagram corresponding to the energy flow block diagram.Energy is an important component of energy balance, the system’s energy consumption isaccording to the actual power load and it is according to need coefficient method specificallocation to each corresponding electrical device.Through the study we can get the following conclusions:The cylinder paper machine to produce1ton of paper required steam2.68t, water1.3t,electricity356.98kwh, folding of standard coal0.368t and thermal efficiency53%. Theordinary fourdrinier machine to produce1ton of paper required steam3.20t, water4.8t,electricity624.58kwh, folding of standard coal0.523t and thermal efficiency55%. Thehorizontal gap paper machine to produce1ton of paper required steam1.36t, water4.1t,electricity580.25kwh, folding of standard coal0.331t and thermal efficiency61.38%. The net stack paper machine to produce1ton of paper required steam1.8t, water4.02t, electricity429.56kwh, folding of standard coal0.320t and thermal efficiency74%. The starch coatedmachine to produce1ton of paper required steam1.57t, water6.68t, electricity400.73kwh,folding of standard coal0.284t and thermal efficiency70.57%.The results showed that the energy consumption per ton of paper which the cylinderpaper machine and the ordinary fourdrinier machine have reached the1990’s later stage levelof Europe papermaking developed country by strictly managerial control. The horizontal gappaper machine, the net stack paper machine and the starch coated machine which areadvanced paper machines and the energy consumption of these have reached the world’sadvanced level.
