Study On The Extraction And Purification Of Effective Ingredient And The Bioacdtivity From Maize Silk

Maize silk is dried stigma and silk of maize. The functions is contain decreasing turgescence and decreasing blood pressure. Studies on the recent years show: it has obvious effects on curing hypertension and diabetes and so on. This article introduces the maize silk by way of main material, preliminary studied the extraction and purification and the biological activity of three main activity composition: saponin, flavonoids and alkaloids in maize silk, the following results were achieved:1,The well extracted by orthogonal design experiment as follow: Saponins extraction process for the best: 10 times in 90 % ethanol solution, bath back for two times, 3 hours each tine; Flavonoids extraction process for the best, 80 % ethanol solution, 80℃water bath temperatures for 2 h; The extraction of alkaloids for the best: 20 times in 75% ethanol solution, 60℃water bath temperatures for 2 h.2,Law macroporonus resin purified made saponins purity increased up to 1.42ⅹ, flavonoids purity increased 1.57ⅹ.3,Determination by animal experiments the hypoglycemic effect of saponin, flavonoids and alkaloids, the following results were the three components are all have hypoglycemic effect, the role has a better effect than when it used alone.4,Determination the function of Antibacterial to saponins, the alkaloids and flavonoids by method of filter paper tablets . The following results were the three components to E.coli, staphylococcus aureus, bacillus subtilis and four streptococcus have different levels inhibition.
