Membrane Chromatography is a new kind technology of biology separation which developed recent years. It is an integrated technique of membrane technology and chromatogram technology. Membrane Chromatography medium was called membrane adsorbent, It makes function group connect to the pore of membrane, which can adsorb protein. When the solution of protein passes through the membrane chromatography, it can choose aim protein to adsorb. After the membrane chromatography adsorbs enough protein, the protein could be desorbed. The aim of this study is to prepare two kinds of ion exchange resin/EVAL hollow fiber membrane adsorbents and study their characteristics.Anion exchange resin (D301R) filled ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVAL) hollow fiber membrane adsorbents were prepared by a phase separation method, using EVAL as membrane matrix material, D301R as functional particles, DMSO as solvent, and CP as additive. Several factors influenced on formation and characteristics of the adsorbent (e.g. concentration of polymer, temperature of coagulation bath, et al) were studied. With the increasing of resin loading, the adsorbents have high pure water flux and high BSA rejection, BSA adsorption capacity was also increased.Cation exchange resin (D061) filled ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVAL) hollow fiber membrane adsorbents were prepared by a phase separation method, using EVAL as membrane matrix material, D301R as functional particles, DMSO as solvent, and CP as additive. The BSA static adsorption capacity, Hb static adsorption capacity and BSA dynamic adsorption capacity for D061filled EVAL hollow fiber membrane adsorbents were studied especially. With the increasing of resin loading, protein adsorption capacity of the adsorbents increased. The amount of BSA static adsorption capacity, Hb static adsorption capacity was 53.6mgBSA/g adsorbent and 47.3mgHb/g adsorbent respectively. BSA dynamic circulation adsorption capacity (3.39mgBSA/ml adsorbent) and desorption rate (68.3%) were gained.
