Veneered furniture is becoming the mainstream of the contemporary furniture market, and its veneer splice process still remain in the initial stage, thereby affecting the company's production efficiency and effectiveness.The process -- veneered with solid wood,is essential to the veneered furniture production,and this process can not be replaced by machines currently, what is more ,in a fairly long period of time.So it causes the bottleneck of the work mainly for the balance in the progress of production, the production budget cycle, the efficiency of the work. Based on the above issues, launched this study.Object of this study is veneer splice process with total manual operations.Mainly useing the analysis methods of time and motion study in the filed of industrial engineering.The main line to start on this thesis is the whole processing flow about one pattern.The part for research the determination of the working hours,is mainly about all processes which use Cherry veneer to splice a pattern,and the pattern looks like a butterfly.The processes include: splice a triangle, splice a rectangle, half butterfiy, butterfly, prepare edge sheet, edge, mend, inspection.The main research results are as follows:1. The tape distance are divided into two types,one is 70mm,the other is 100mm,based on different veneers and requirements for connection. The length of short tape is about 100 mm, and the length of long tape is about 500 mm.The time for conglutination with tape is invariablenes,short tape 1.1s/tape, and long tape 2.5s/tape.2. Divid the entire manual work into six basic moves, define the basic movements in detail ,clear the start point and the finish point for the moves, six basic moves are all divided into different categories according to the actual situation of the basic movements,, make a clearly defined time-consuming for every categorie of basic movements.3. Analysis of the total processes, then work on all aspects of the processes, make a simple formula for the determination of the working hours, which is convenient for enterprise applications.4. Specifications based on size,project a formula for the whole process of working hours.5. Summarize this Butterfly series of splicing technology.6. From the view of economic point, analysis of veneer grades and how many pieces to splice which impact on production costs. Matching the most economic programme for the production is of low grade, stitching with least pieces.7. Three-pronged approach to improve the efficiency. Bimanual work replace one-hand operations. Reduce the number of justification. Change the manner of justification.
