Safety assessment of remaining strength for long-distance transported pipeline containing defects has been a most worthwhile research field, because the failure of pressure piping often results in disasters and tremendous economic losses. On the base of foreign advanced assessment standards, we have developed the assessment system of remaining strength for long-distance transported pipeline in use, take the present situation of long-distance transported pipeline in use in our country into consideration. Because of flaws in the pipeline remaining strength of the evaluation process complicated and cumbersome operation, artificial manual operation is often difficult to achieve accuracy and reliability. So the system development on the long-distance pipeline of the safety assessment, It's important that it will improve the safety assessment of the efficiency and accuracy.In the thesis, structure integrity assessment standards such as BS7910,R6-Rev4, The assessment mothed of remaining strength for long-distance transported pipeline in use were analyzed and the software applied to long-distance transported pipeline containing plane defects has been developed. For plane defects, this software can judge the fitness, calculate tough safety levels, primary stress safely level, possible failure mode and corresponding limit load, limit dimension of the defect under given load, and present the dynamic analysis of sensitivity as to input parameters, each assessment grade of every kind of defects reached sound harmony among the reliability of safety conclusion, the quantity of required data, the requirement for user and the complexity of analysis process.The analysis of true accident, the verification of the result of whole dimension test for pressure piping containing defects and the remaining stress assessment of long-distance transported pipeline in use containing defects prove that the assessment conclusion is reliable and the link among assessment grades is reasonable.According to "What You See Is What You Get", this system designed interface style basing user upon, and struggled to bring about man-machine interaction. In addition. The system provides a complete scalability, reusability, for the future system upgrades to provide the interface.
