ramie fiber's tensile strength is high and its tensile strain is low.its fiber count is low and its rigidity of flexure is high, fibers are not easy to enclasp each other. As a result, lots of hairiness emerges. these long, rigid and large numbers of hairiness not easy to be improved in the process of sizing, it will cause indistinct shedding, warp breakage and a great deal of weaving flaws, and the productivity and quality of fabric could be affected. The exterior hairiness will affect the appearance of the fabric tooThe sizing formula and sizing techniques were optimized design in the thesis,gave the best sizing formula and sizing techniques. The conclusions are:In regard to the sizing formula: oxidized corn starch, completely alcoholized PVA and polypropylene acid ester were chosen as adhesive in the sizing of ramie yarn. We adopt the 'general quadratic rotation test method' in the work of technology optimization, taking the ratio of densities of two adhesives as input, X, and the quality indexes as output, Y, through experiments and regression statistics, an accurate equation Y=F (X) was set up, by which optimum proportion was found. The result of this thesis is that when oxidized corn starch, completely alcoholized PVA and polypropylene acid ester are all 3%, the wear resistance and the hairiness index are optimal.As regards the craft scheme: through analysis, an appropriate craft scheme is achieved, which is 'high concentration, medium viscosity, higher extrusion ,densely sizing, saturating; gluing hairiness; wet divided ,higher tension, fewer dryed moisture ,oiling finally, protecting chorion'.The research achievement was approved in a small volume processing. By using the sizing proportion and the craft scheme from this paper, the hairiness were well glued, 4 breakages were reduced per hour per machine. The weaving efficiency was improved by 33% The first class rate of original textile was improved by 29.5%...
