High precision fiber filtration board is a deep bed filtration method, it is used widely in clarifying processing of wine, drink, hospital liquid and so on. There are two kinds of fiber filtration board. One is made of synthetic fiber and plant fiber; another is made of asbestos. The former is expensive and of low flow capacity. But asbestos which is the primary material of high precision fiber filtration board can lead to cancer, it is forbidden in food industry. Our purpose is to make a kind of board which has no harm and has a good flow capacity. The high precision fiber filtration boards which are innocuity and harmless to environment are pressed for.It is proved that sepiolite is a kind of very perfect filtration material by the study on sepiolite's basic performance. Sepiolite is a natural mineral fiber, which is innocuity and harmless to environment. Sepiolite has very big specific surface area and high porosity as well as absorbability, in particularly after the heating process.According to the formulation of velocity and resistance, find the factors that influence the flow capacity, analyze thickness, tightness, porosity influence on them. The measures of an advanced flow capacity are decided by some parameters. The high precision filtration board is made up of sepiolite fiber which has been activated treatment by heating up and cotton fiber by hydro paper making.The experience of filtering precision and filtering persistence of the high precision filtration board was done. It is proved that the high precision fiber filtration board has not only high filtering precision but also low filtering persistence. Its filtering performance is better than that of asbestos fiber filtration board.In this paper, the fiber filtering mathematics mode is developed by the granular bed filtration theory. By the experience and study, the directions and making techniques of the high precision fiber filtration board is made.
