Along with the modern customers' quality requirement about the beer-like liquid beverages, the quality requirements of the appearance of these beverages are even higher; the beverages should be clear and transparent. Even if there is a small degree of muddy, it will have a huge impact on its sales; therefore, the clarification of such pre-filtered liquid is the key to ensure its quality. The fiber filter board is a kind of filtration medium made of plant fiber and other fibers, the advantages of the fiber filter board is that it has a wide range of sources of raw materials and it has a relatively low cost. However, the filter board sales on the market do not have a reasonable evaluation of the filtration system on the board for testing; this makes the filter board's quality standards uneven in the market. In this paper, we mainly studied the improvement of cardboard's filter performance and its laboratory applications.1. The fiber components of the commercially fine filter paper board were detected. In this study, using our own designed cardboard detection index to do the test for its filter performance, discovered that the aperture size of the commercial board is larger between 2.85 and 7.32μm, and the pore size distribution is not uniform enough, That it couldn't fully meet the filter effect of the beer-like liquid beverages about the small particles and some bacteria, and it can not fully meet the accuracy requirements of the liquid's fine filter standard.2. Aimed at the requirements of the physical requirements of strength and permeability about the bottom uphold board, we discovered a conclusion that is: the softwood fiber's beating degree is 23°SR, the wet strength agent is chitosan /CMC Dual Enhancement System, which is made of 3:1 ratio of chitosan and CMC, and when the wet strength agent's adding Mass fraction is 0.30 percent, the bottom uphold physical strength can meet the filtration requirement. At the same time, aimed at the bottom board for the necessary requirements with the permeability, By experiment we discovered the optimum conditions treatment of mercerized softwood pulp is: processing temperature of 50℃, processing time of 60min, NaOH concentration of 1 mol·L-1.3. Aimed at the requirements of the filtration requirements about the upper board, we discovered about the treatment of the beating performance on the chrysotile asbestos fibers about the morphology and the surface charge, and got the equation about the Chrysotile asbestos fibers beating degree and the pore size of the cardboard, which means in the beating revolutions of 1200 rpm the chrysotile asbestos fiber can get a better devillicate with a small sub-wire to be cut off, and at the same time the filter board can reach a better filtration affection.4. Also aimed at the requirements of the filtration requirements about the upper board, By experiment we discovered: when the adding proportion of the asbestos fiber is 45% the fine soil diatomite adding proportion of 5%, the upper board's concentration is between 0.37% and 0.43%, by the detection of the Index of cardboard we can get a conclusion: the fine filtration paper board's porosity was 83%,the pore size distribution is between 0.8μm and 2.9μm, and the pore size distribution is of higher uniformity, for the beer-like liquid beverages filtration process can achieve higher accuracy.5. Using the lab made filtration paper board to do the filtration on light yellow beer and fresh apple juice. For the filtration of the fresh apple juice ,after the juice been filtrated by the board, the apple juice turbidity filtered down to 0.6EBC, the turbidity of apple juice decreased to 0.23NTU; meanwhile ,about the beer filtration, also the beer after been filtrated can also meet the requirement of the beer's storage save and the appearance stability. Therefore, we get a conclusion that the filter board we made in the laboratory can effectively reduce the turbidity of the liquid and increase its storage stability, which also means by the application effect of the filter board tested that the filter board has a good filtration performance.
