Cephalosporin C whose cost and quality is crucial to the inherent quality and cost of 7-ACA is an important intermediate to preparation of 7- aminocephalosporanic acid (is called 7-ACA),moreover in the 7-ACA production it is important ways to profit by decreasing the cost and increasing the quality of Cephalosporin C.In this paper, we have inspected fermentation borth pretreated by the vacuum drum and ultra filtration which obtain a good results.The contents of the fermentation broth and ultra filtration fluid as well as cephalosporin C free acid, impurities content are determined by HPLC law. Moreover, the pH value and transparence of the fermentation broth and ultra filtrated fluid are researched. Then, according to the physical and chemical quality of cephalosporin C and the macroporous resin separation mechanism, combined with a large number of experiments, we have screened out Resin A-16 as a substitute of resin XAD-16 and resin A-18 as the a substitute of resin A-16.The experimental study indicated that, the saturated adsorption capability ,to the cephalosporin C selectivity, cephalosporin C received rate, poisoned experiment of resin A-16 are all better then that of resin XAD-16 under the same ultra filtrated fluid transparence. In the middle scale experiment , the average cephalosporin C receiving rate is 1.56 % up to that of the XAD-16 resin .In the production process, average cost used the A-16 resin is 2.13 Yuan per Kg cephalosporin zinc salt lower than that used resin XAD-16.The cephalosporin C received rate of resin XAD-18,resin A-18 are 3% to 4% higher than that of A-16. From cephalosporin C received rate of resin A-18 resin is average the saturated adsorption capability ,to the cephalosporin C selectivity, to the cephalosporin C received rate, poisoned experiment of resin A-18 are all better than that of resin XAD-18.In the middle scale experiment,the average cephalosporin C received rate is 0.53% higher than that of resin XAD-18.
