The coal mine safety monitoring system monitors the coal mine safety using electronic technology and computer software and hardware technology. With the equipment of coal mine safety monitoring system on the coal mine, the administrators can effectively monitor the real-time status messages of each place and machine under coal mine. They can also analyze the safety production situation, with the aim of improving the efficiency of production and avoiding accidents.At present, China's coal mine production safety situation is very grim. Coal production accidents have occurred frequently, which seriously threatened the lives of coal mine workers and caused tremendous economic loss to the coal mines and the state. Coal mines are in urgent need of advanced monitoring system to improve economic efficiency and reduce losses. Coal Mine Safety Monitoring System has a very broad market space.The subject comes from coal mine safety automatic detection and monitoring system project of Information Industry Department of Shandong Province. Against the nonstandard communication protocol, we design an Ethernet-based mine safety monitoring system according to the general technical requirements of coal mine safety supervision. Existing systems commonly used serial communication. Different systems make different definitions of data format, transmission speed, transmission steps, error correction mode and control characters. The nonstandard communication protocol causes problems of poor compatibility. Our system unites underground workstations and ground main monitoring station with LAN hubs. Adopting the common TCP / IP protocol, we resolve the question of different norms.The system works as follows, the workstation gathers real-time messages of underground gas, carbon monoxide sensor data based on theμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system and network. We use fiber-optic network communications technology with large capacity and high-speed to transmit coal mine safety information from the station underground to ground effectively. Main monitoring stations will store the data collected to the Oracle relational database in database server. Then users can share the data and information effectively. At the same time, main monitoring stations show the data real-time and provide curves, printing and alarm functions. LAN clients can visit database server using the client terminal software, and watch the cared information after processing. But the WAN user may use the browser to visit the safety information.The paper completes the design of coal mine safety monitoring system software based on Client/Server model, including the analysis of system and the design of data acquisition module, database, monitoring terminal software.At present, the system development work has been completed. We are busy with the testing. We will equip the system on the mine and do the final testing. We look forward to make positive contribution to coal mine production safety with our new monitoring system.
