At present, China's petrochemical industries was the development of large-scale, complex, complicated system. most flammable,explosive, toxic and harmful materials are used usually. Quanties of storage materials are big due to large-scale production, dangerous sources are put intently due to chemical region. Domino effect frequency of major hazardous sources increases gradually because of production environment in petrochemical industries.Accident domino effect may be understood to a accident chain reaction. On the basis of safety evaluation with the relevant to domino effect and environmental risk assessment theories, connected to petrochemical enterprises with overall environmental risk and risk characteristics of tank district, environmental risk domino effect theory is proposed. In the theory , it`s definition is given, points out the typical type of accidents triggered domino effet, studies the trigger conditions ,mechanism, category and content, and analyzes the environmental impact generated by domino effect accidents and comparatively analyze domino effect hazard between domino accidents and nondomino effect ones.Domino effect is considered little in risk assessment of major hazardous source. Because accident domino effect is not recognized and grasped fully, slso there is not relevant technical studies in support. By the studies for probability and mechanism of domino effect and so on basis theories, domino effect accident scenario are identified by means of accident trees and incident tree technologies. Connected with consequences of major accidents and equipment failure probability models, domino effect analysis and evaluation methods is established. Compared with the traditional evaluation methods, domino effect risk assessment methods can both quantitatively evaluate the initial incident risks and effectively forecast the probability and consequences of secondary accidents.Risk assessment is carried with the domino effect evaluation method in raw materials region in Fushun petrochemical company. Accident domino effect belongs to the low probability events, but its impact range are general and consequence are disastrous. At the same time it is validated that domino effect evaluation method is feasibility, its quantitative results is of objectivity. Prevention measures in tank district are made ,and when the domino effect accidents occurred, emergency treatment should be taken.
