In comparison with other conjugate polymer, the price of Polyaniline is cheap and abundant, which can be easily polymerization, with high conductivity and a broad prospect for application. However, the properties of infusibility and insolubility are the obstacles of its application. The composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline were fabricated by combing sol-gel process and electrospinning technique, using polyacrylonitrile and aniline as precursor. After calcinations of the composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline, the composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline were successfully obtained. This method offered a brand-new way for fabricating one-dimensional nanomaterial.The morphology of fibers was discussed by adjusting conditions such as the concentration of PAN. The aniline joins the quantity, and heat treatment heating rate. As a result, both decreasing the concentration of PAN and increasing the electrospinning voltage, the diameter of electrospun fibers decreased and the morphology changed unregularly. It is very important that the heating rate must not be too high, otherwise the fibers would rupture. The heating rate should be below 20°C/h.The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared(FT-IR) and Fourier Transform Raman (FT-Raman) spectroscopy. All the results show that the composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline were prepared by chemical polymerization of aniline on polyacrylonitrile fabrics in the ammonium persulfate solution as the oxidant.After calcinations of the composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline, the composite fibers of polyacrylonitrile and polyaniline were successfully obtained.
