Polyaniline has potential application in conducting, corrosion protection and many other fields for its low cost, easy to synthesize, good electrical conductivity, excellent electrochemical performance, fine environmental stability and unique doping mechanism. However, the rigidity of polyaniline chain is strong, which seriously hinder its application and development. In order to solve the problem of hard processing, two aspects of work have been done in this paper, and now summarized as follows:(1)The doped polyaniline was synthesized by chemical oxidation. Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBSA) was used as the doping acid and ammonium persulfate (APS) was used as the oxidizing agent. Influences of the content of the dopant, the concentration of the oxidant, the reaction time and the reaction temperature on the property of polyaniline were investigated. Corrosion protection of polyaniline has also been explored in this paper. Results of the experiment showed that DBS A has effectively improved the solubility and dispersion stability of polyaniline. Polyaniline with better performance can be obtained under the condition of nDBSA:nAn=0.82:l, nAPS:nAn=1:1,the reaction time was4h, the reaction temperature was below5℃. Polyaniline also can protect mild steel from corrosion.(2)The polyaniline/poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PANI/PET) conducting composite was prepared by in situ polymerization. Hydrochloric acid (HC1) was used as the doping agent and APS was used as the oxidizing agent. Influence of acid pretreatment on the surface property of PET substrate and the adsorbing capacity and adhesion of PANI on the surface of PET substrate. Effect of doping agent and oxidizing agent on the conductivity of the conducting composite has also been explored. The experiment results indicated that acid pretreatment is helpful to increase the wettability, the polar groups and the roughness of the polyester surface. So more PANI can adsorb on the surface of PET substrate and the adhesion between PANI and PET can be strengthened. When the concentration of HC1was3mol·L-1, the molar ratio of APS to aniline was0.75:1, polyaniline with better conductivity can be acquired and the best conductivity was4.96mS·cm-1.
