The electro-hydraulic servo bending roller system, as a kind of most effective strip shape control process, have already become the key technology that used in strip shape control of the rolling mill at present. Because of the complicated characteristic that the bending roller system has, works in this article are as following points to improve system synthetic dynamic characteristics.1) Considering the effect of the pipeline, the piston position, loading disturbance, and the variable hydraulic stiffness, a wholly control bending roller system mathematical model was established which was easy to analyze the relationship between the influence factors and system dynamic characteristics.2) Digital simulation was carried on using the model of the wholly control bending roller system. The relationship between the influence factors and system dynamic characteristics was analyzed under variable hydraulic stiffness occasion.3) Because the ability to adapt the complicated and variable working environment, the difference of the strip thick and the roll diameter, is too weak, a more effective control strategy, fuzzy PID, was proposed.4) Considering when two or more bending roller cylinder were controlled by one electro-hydraulic servo valve, they could be induced pressure fluctuation between them if the loading on each of them was different, which also impacted on the synthetic dynamic characteristics of the whole system, the pressure fluctuation bending roller system mathematical model was established.5) The mathematical model of the pressure fluctuation bending roller system was carried on digital simulation to analyze the relationship between the system parameters and the effect of the pressure fluctuation to the system. A more effective control strategy was proposed to decrease the effect of the pressure fluctuation to the system.
