At present, beginning of studies about profile control done by domestic steel enterprises is later than others countries and most of equipments used in domestic steel enterprises were imported and in-depth studies about the design of equipments is relatively less. The design of domestic hydraulic bending roller system usually adopts analogism and this has lacked theoretical supports and has some demerits. Under the circumstance, China National Erzhong Group Co. took on this researching task together with Chongqing University aiming at fundamentally solving the basic design problem for hydraulic bending roller system and making idea and principle of the design clear and affording theoretic and technical supports to the domestically produced design of these equipments. On basis of knowing about hydraulic bending roller control system and modeling methodologies and simulation and optimization of hydraulic servo system, modeling and model realization of hydraulic bending roller control system has been improved in this paper. Through simplifying system's model reasonably, model suitable for practice was given. This model not only accurately embodied dynamic characteristics of this system, but also advantaged gaining accurate parameter of the system and all kinds of components. Meanwhile the model included non-linear elements that were simplified frequently, effects of disturbances and changes of control system adjustment ways. In aspect of model realization, modern simulation technique and software of calculation were applied adequately and system simulation has been realized through using dynamic structures of SIMULINK of Matlab software. Dynamic structures and mathematic model are corresponding and this way is useful to improve model. Results of simulation are some curves of main controlled variable. Response of the whole system was analyzed when steel belts were occluded and thrown out and bending force was an impulse force. And then error analysis of the system was done and steady-state error was calculated. In aspect of system optimization, the idea of global optimization was used and effects of main simulation parameters on system characteristics were analyzed. System dynamic characteristics were optimized and deviation between expectation value and actual value was turned down through adding control system adjustment ways, PID etc. So the model was optimized. Finally software, Matlab and VC++, was used in the design of the simulation software and Matlab application program was called by VC++. The visual simulation software advantages engineers'design efforts about design and analyze. The model and the software depending on the applied subject were applied to design and analyze of hydraulic bending roller control system in China National Erzhong Group Co.
