Two-roller bending with elastic medium is a kind of advanced bending technology and the introduction of polyurethane rubber instead of the traditional rigid roller makes the forming quality and precision be improved greatly. In the present stage in the field of aerospace and automobile lightweight have a huge role. This paper uses theoretical analysis and finite element simulation method to research on variable curvature process of Two-roller bending with elastic medium technology.Firstly, this paper analyzes forming principle of Two-roller bending with elastic medium technology and the key steps in the study, then under the premise of some necessary assumptions and simplifications establishes theoretical model, and gets the expression between the radius and the top roll feed, then expresses theirs relationship curve with relative curvature and relative feed rate. The most important thing is this paper explores the law of each stage.Then this paper establishes the finite element model of Two-roller bending with elastic medium to complete the forming process simulation, and deals with the results. Next it gets the relationship curve expressed in relative curvature and relative feed rate. At the same time, the effect of rubber material, roller radius, sheet thickness and material changed on bending is explored.Finally this paper compares the results curves of theoretical analysis and finite element simulation method, and finds both of the trends are exactly the same, just in the numerical deviation, which a common is that there is a linear relationship stages in the two curves. Most importantly, using this linear rule, it introduces a method which uses theoretical results and a few experiments to predict the sheet forming curvature. This method can get the linear relation curves of arbitrary thickness expressed in relative curvature and relative top roll feed rate. Then we can use this curvature to get predetermined radius by controling the top roll feed rate and obtain the variable curvature process method of Two-roller bending.
