The power-ultrasonic vibration machine which integrates ultrasonic system with electromechanical system is a new processing technology. The ultrasonic vibration system is the key part in the power-ultrasonic application. A steady, efficient, reliable ultrasonic vibration system is crucial for power-ultrasonic application. The paper emphasizes the theory and design principles of ultrasonic vibration system and applies this system to ultrasonic honing device. The ultrasonic honing machine have various virtues such as reducing grinding power and temperature, promoting efficiency and quality. It provides a new way of high-productivity, high quality for tenacity and intensity material.The paper introduces the development of ultrasonic machine both at home and abroad, and shows study importance. This paper analyses the ultrasonic theory, cutting theory and moving of ultrasonic vibration. The ultrasonic vibration machine has many merits comparing with general machine. This paper discusses design procedures of ultrasonic vibration system in terms of theory, and the design principle of component making up ultrasonic vibration system, such as: ultrasonic generator, transducer, horns. Moreover, connection and test is studied. In the and, the cutting theory of ultrasonic honing is discusses. The designs and installation on vertical ultrasonic honing machine of ?150mm is completed. The date which is about grinding power, grinding temperature, grinding efficiency and grinding quality is obtained by carrying out an experiment. The ultrasonic honing machine is proved to having steady ability and achieving good results compared to general honing machine.
