This article in view of the network structure of polyether polyurethane, the ternary copolymer and polyethylene glycou (PEG) were used as chain extendor to prepare polyurethane. The kind of functional additive, addition, molecular weight of PEG and craft were studied to increase the mechanics performance of polyurethane. The results indicate that, PEG and ternary copolymer can strengthen the mechanical properties of polyurethane system in a certain extent, as the ternary copolymer is more outstanding. Comparing with the effect of PEG600, PEG800 and PEG1000 to the mechanics performance of polyurethane finds that PEG800 used as chain extendor is more appropriate. The results show that the mechanics properties perform more perfectly by joining 3.125% PEG800 or 4% ternary copolymer to the polyurethane. We also find that the pretreatment of the ternary copolymer can make the mechanical properties of polyurethane system better. This kind of polyurethane was added to explosive propellant and made the mechanical properties of explosive propellant more outstanding. The addition of 0.4%PEG or 0.5% of ternary copolymer can make the explosive propellant system more excellent.
