Study On The Water Resources Protection And Sustainable Utilization In The Danghe River Basin

Danghe River lies in the west part of Hexi corridor,originates from Qilian Mountains.It flows though Mongolian Autonomous County of Subei and Dunhuang city of Gansu Province,and belongs to the water system of Shule River.Danghe River is the mother river of Dunhuang,it has brought up the oasis of Dunhuang.With the rapid development of the social economy along the basin,and the increase of water resources requirement,the water resources problem of Danghe River basin is becoming more and more striking.Therefore the study on the sustainable utilization of the basin's water resources has its important significance toward realizing the harmonious development of social economy and ecological environment in the basin.Based on the full study of the relevant data of the Danghe River basin,this paper deeply studies the characteristics of water environment,supply and demand relation of the water resources,the exploitation and utilization level and existing problems etc. The results show that Danghe River is a mixing river which replenished by ice-snow melting and groundwater.The intra-annual variation of the runoff presents obvious seasonal characteristics,and interannual variation of the runoff was stable.Annual average runoff of Danghe River is 2.99×10~8m~3,and average flow is 9.48 m~3/s. Apparently,the supply and demand of water resources is already out of balance,water deficient ratio is 16.07%when the guarantee ratio is 50%.Above all,the paper carries on an evaluation to the sustainable utilization of water resources in the basin,and finds out that water resources of the Danghe River are at a low level of sustainable for now,and the relations between water resources and the society,economy, eco-environment system are incongruous in the basin.As to this,on the basis of the real conditions of the basin and the experiences of our own country and the others',this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures to the sustainable utilization of the basin's water resources,such as exploiting new wellsprings,perfect management system,allotting water resources scientifically and reasonably,pushing forward the construction of water-saving society,strengthening water management efforts,improve the management level,strengthening the protection of water resources and eco-environment,etc,to promote the sustainable utilization of the water resources in the basin to ensure the sustainable development of the system of the whole basin.
