Simulating the dispersion of atmospheric pollutant are the effective measures or methods for department of environment administration to control the air-pollution and make decision on environment problems. Integrating the technology of GIS with the environment model would make their function more stronger ,which has been paid more attention by expert who engaged in the fields if environment and GIS.In this paper, the integration of GIS and atmospheric models was researched and applied to Huizhou City.Several models of dispersion of atmospheric pollutant along with the theory and necessary,applications,methods of integrating GIS with environment modeling were introduced.Two procedures of Simulating the dispersion of atmospheric pollutant were introduced, which were collecting data and simulating the dispersion.The theory of component technology and features of component GIS were introduced.Components were embedded in GIS integrating environment by method of dynamic link library or Application interface,and separating model with data was spontaneously carried out. At the same time,main functions,structure,data sources of component MapObjects and Surfer were researched.Procedures of simulating the dispersion of atmospheric pollutant were detailedly introduced.After computing the concentration Value,special operations were carried out by special analysis technology of MapObjects.Concentration contour was protracted by Surfer.
