| Humidity control is always a problem in the industry and life, bacteria is also aproblem coming up with the suitable humidity. Along with times going, favorableenvironment is requested for more and more. So it is quite important to develop a typeof material which can control humidity and restrain the growth of bacteria.This paper explains the importance of developing humidity-controlling materials,introduces the preparation methods of montmorillonite (MMT) / PAM composite,MMT/copolymer composite and Ag+ modified inorganic salt / PAM composite,Ag+modified inorganic salt /copolymer composite, and then the surface morphology,structure, humidity controlling behaviors and antiseptic behaviors of these materialswere analyzed and determined in this paper.[Ag(NH3)2]+ modified MMT is produced by using the cation exchange reactionof montmorillonite and cation solution in this paper. The distance between twomontmorillonite layers is increased and the tendency of changing color is depressed.Montmorillonite / PAM composite and MMT/copolymer composite are prepared bywater solution intercalation and polymerization methods,and then the surfacemorphology and structure of MMT/ polymer composite were analyzed. The resultsshow that MMT / high molecular polymer composite has a loose and porous surface.The monomer is intercalated successfully into the layers of montmorillonite, and thedistance between two layers is increased to about 2nm. In the development of Ag+modified inorganic salt / PAM composite and Ag+ modified inorganic salt / copolymercomposite, inorganic salt is used to improve the property of high molecular polymer.The surface of high molecular polymer becomes looser by water solution intercalationand polymerization methods. As a result, the composite with high performance andextensive application was successfully developed.These four types of materials all have very good humidity controllingperformance. Compared with montmorillonite / polyacrylamide (MMT/PAM)composite, MMT/copolymer composite not only has a greater capacity of humidityabsorption and desorption, but also has a higher absorption and desorption speed.Compared with montmorillonite / PAM composite and MMT/copolymer composite,inorganic salt / PAM composite and inorganic salt / copolymer composite have greatercapacity of humidity absorption and higher absorption speed. But their humiditydesorption capacity and desorption speed are not as good as montmorillonite / high molecular polymer composite. In the test of antiseptic behaviors, it was found that themade composite has a strong ability of disinfection. The consistency of the madecomposite is below 0.2mg/ml, most of them have a 100% antiseptic rate. |
