The Yuqiao Reservoir is an important adjusting reservoir in the project of diverting water from the Luan River to Tianjin City. As an important water source of Tianjin, Yuqiao Reservoir plays a crucial role in people's daily life, industry and agriculture of the municipality Tianjin City. After point source pollution being controlled effectively, agriculture non-point source pollution has become a leading pollution source; currently the reservoir has been eutrophicated. So study on agriculture non-point source pollutant losses from Yuqiao Reservoir periphery area has important theory value and realistic meaning.The paper has been selected as a typical study site to study surface runoff and cropland leakage experimentation in the Yuqiao Reservoir periphery area, the distribution of nitrogen and phosphorus output from agricultural non-point source pollution was calculated by the SCS model simulation and field survey, and an equal standard pollution load method was adopted to evaluate the total impact for various sorts of pollution source. According to the works mentioned above, achievements have been described as following:The correlation between daily rainfall and nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations was very remarkable, which showed that the rainfall played an important role in nutrient from soil, the non-point source pollutant loss varied obviously from June to September, which was much higher than other periods. The loads of nitrogen and phosphorus were influenced significantly by land use, the order for TN and TP concentrations from surface runoff in the different land use were as follows: village > cropland > hilly country > orchard; Considering area of the different land use, the contribution order for TN and TP pollution loading discharged from the different land use were as follows: cropland > village > hilly country > orchard. So cropland and village were important control area.The field survey results for agricultural non-point source pollutant loading showed that the contribution order for TN: livestock source > fertilizer > municipal source > pound breeding > reservoir rainfall > soil erosion, and the contribution orders for TP: livestock source > soil erosion > municipal source > pound breeding > fertilizer > reservoir rainfall. Livestock source, municipal source and fertilizer were the mostly sources in the Yuqiao Reservoir periphery area.Cropland was the area which concentrated for fertilizer and livestock source, village was the area which concentrated for municipal source and rubbish, and both methods explained the same conclusion from different side. The areas for fertilizer and livestock were identical and centralized in BieShan and ChuTouLing town, so these towns were important control area in the Yuqiao Reservoir periphery area.Base on the study, the paper also proposed some controlling countermeasures for the different agriculture non-point source in the Yuqiao Reservoir periphery area.
