JY Transport winch is a new type of mine winch, and it was invented by Institute of Mining Machinery of China University of Mining and Technology. The design of the winch was finished under the method of empirical design, and the experiment of the winch's physical model showed that its vibration was acute, so it is important to study the winch's vibration. The winch's vibration came from its transmission system mainly, so the study of the transmission system's dynamic characteristic was done in this paper to find its vibration information.Transport winch's transmission system is a three-stage gear-driving transmission system: from bevel gears to planetary pearing, and last cylindrical gears. Based on the structure of the transmission system and the analysis of mono-gear pair's torsional vibration and planetary pearing's torsional vibration, this paper established mechanics model of transmission system's torsional vibration by the method of lumped parameter and its mathematic model by Lagrange equation. Taking JY60 transport winch for example, the system's natural frequency and main vibration mode were solved by Matlab.The number of degrees of freedom of the transmission system was twelve, so the system was a multi-degree-of-freedom system whose mathematic model had coupling phenomena. In this paper, a vibration model matrix was formed by the main vibration mode solved out before. And by the matrix a coordinate transformation was done in the system. So the system's equations were decoupled, and they turned into a superposition of twelve-single degree of freedom equations. New natural frequency was solved from these equations which was same as the frequency solve before. By this work, the system's response analysis of undamped free vibration, undamped forced vibration, and linear damping forced vibration was finished. And the results showed that undamped free vibration's response had relations with initial condition while undamped forced vibration's response had relations with the excitation, and damp could reduce the amplitude of the system's response.Simulation model of the winch's transmission system was done by Pro/E, and by its Mechanism module the dynamic simulation of the transmission under different excitation and load was finished. At last, the results of the simulation were compared by each other.
