Recently, air drilling has developed rapidly in China. Compared with the traditional drilling technique, air drilling has its particular advantages. However, it may cause some security problems. Fire in the bottom of a well is one of the big problems of air drilling, fire blast will happen when air meets with any oil pool. Based on the Shengli postdoctoral project of"the analysis of blasting and burning of air drilling"(No. GKB0703), this thesis mainly studies on real-time monitoring and safety analysis system during air and gas drilling. The main contributions are as follows:1. In order to solve the problem about blasting and burning of air drilling, a monitoring system has been designed. The main principle of this system is predicting whether blasting and burning down hole happened through the variation of volume percentage of oxygen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. The installation and wiring of this system is convenient and the micro-data acquisition system takes up little room in the well site. The system has features of many measuring parameters, quick responding, high stability precision and convenient maintenance. It completes the blasting and burning monitoring task successfully in the northeast of Sichuan province and provides safety guarantee in air drilling.2. At present, the method of detecting the burning and blasting in the bottom of a well is simple: Set the threshold value of oxygen and carbon dioxide and then make a decision. In this thesis, a new detecting method is proposed using multi-sensor data fusion based on fuzzy logic theory. The concentration of oxygen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide and the pressure of sediment ejection pipe are measured using multi-sensors,then the information collected by the multi-sensors are fused. The method improves the accuracy and security of downhole burning and blasting analysis if the hardware and other conditions do not change.
