Tobacco leaf curing is the final links that determine the quality and production of the production practices of flue-cured tobacco. Advanced curing equipments can show the superior characteristic of mature tobacco leaf sufficiently, increase production and implement its use value.This project has been brought about by some of the problems facing traditional curing barn without logical structure, convenient operation, sensitive temperature regulation, saving fuel and steady curing quality of tobacco leaf. This paper summarizes and analyses the status of researches in tobacco leaf curing equipment, the major problems existing in the curing process, the increasing prevalence of production on moderate scale, specialization and standardization in tobacco planting in recent years, and rebuilds curing barn based on domestic and overseas advanced tobacco leaf curing techniques and three-step curing technology offered by tobacco experts.The systematic design includes four aspects as follows: The determination of curing barn's specification and building structure. Design of heating system, fuel supplied system and heated air circulation system. How to achieve intelligent controller on mechanical system is part and parcel. The main body of rebuilding curing barn is made of brick, tile and wood. The vertical stove uses coal as fuel. To rebuild the fuel supplied system, we install a linear shaker riddle. Heated air circulation mainly include: ventilation, air return and venting damp. In the design of the air return system, the key is the choice of the air return fan. We choose a 150W axial fan which can make the whole system form a heated air circulation. To achieve effective controlling on mechanical system, we develop an intelligent control system. It can control machines such as delivering coal and supplying air based on optimal control curve of temperature and humidity in the process of tobacco leaf curing and using experts controlling tactic, thereby assuring the temperature and humidity in curing barn changing according to control curve.This system overcame the defects of the traditional curing barn and remained all the advantages ,with novel and reasonable structure design ,temperature rising smoothly and exactly ,operating expediently and safely ,quality improving and energy saving obviously ,environment benefits markedly and so on.
