A comparison study was made on the capacities of hair adsorpting fragrances with different functional groups. Also the static adsorption behaviors including the static equilibrium adsorption isotherms and the adsorption thermodynamic properties were studied. The adsorption capacities of fragrances with alcoholic hydroxyl groups are much higher than those with ester groups. This is consistent with the ability of forming hydrogen bond between fragrance and hair .The adsorption isotherm data of geraniol on hair can be well represented by Freundlich model. The negative values of the adsorption enthalpyâ–³H are indicative of an exothermic process, thus lower temperature is better for adsorption .The studies both on the enthalpy and on the free energy of adsorption manifest a physisorption process. The aroma components in"Green Rejoice"were extracted by SPME and analyzed by GCMS. The results showed that there were 54 aroma components representing 66% of the total peak area. Then it was analyzed that the type was Green Apple by SPME-GC-MS and smelling .Its main note was Green , Fruity and Floral. The Green and Fruity were linked up by Aldehydic. The body note and the basic note were modified by Woody and Animal. According to the fragrance note and structure , a series of Green Apple essence were compounded ,the better ones of which were selected by scoring the samples. Then the change of the shampoo essence's performance when was put under such environment as high- temperature, low- temperature and illumination were studied. The results of showed that the concentration that the Green Apple essence could cover the unpleasant odor of the shampoo was 1.0%. Low temperature and illumination did not have any effect on the coating essence. The main influencing factor was high temperature, which may lead the odor of some essence to be sharp and acidic. The persistence of different essence was compared by changing the proportion of the fragrances with alcoholic hydroxyl groups to those with ester groups. The results showed that the essence stayed longer on hair by raising the proportion and this phenomenon was coincided with the theory that the adsorption between hair and fragrance was happened by forming hydrogen bond.
