Effects Of Acid Rain On Seed Germination Respiration Of Two Kinds Of Crops

As the acid rain areas are widely spread and the seriousness are increased, the harmfulness of acid rain and soil acidified is becoming one of the serious environmental problems of the modern world. Seed germination is the beginning of productivity. The harmfulness of acid rain and soil acidified influences on crops'germination, morphological structure, growth and development, physiology and biochemistry and so on. Therefore, rice seeds (Oryzasatival) of"Ningjing 1"and sorghum seeds (Sorghum vulare) of"Huangtu Gaoliang", were utilized as our experimental objects, which were germinated in culture container kept in simulated acid rain. In this study, the effect during seed germination of the two kinds of seeds under different level of acid rain stress was investigated. The aim was to provide macroscopically physiological and ecological references for elaborating the mechanism of plants'resistance to acid rain stress, to offer another new ecological defense strategy for preventing crops from acid rain stress. It provided experiment gist for the crop applied in agriculture. The major experiment results are shown as follows:One: low strength acid rains (pH5.0³.0) help the seed to bourgeon, during the high strength acid rain(pH 2.5².0), two types of seed doesn't sprout. two types of seeds five item sprout index sign with respectively of the CK compare and decline(increase) a dissimilarity. Two acid rains coerce bottom, along with acid rain strength increment, breathe a function to die down, two types of seed breath the function die down of range dissimilarity; In the meantime two: types of seeds sprout to the acid rain coerce a respond to of time's method not to exert consistently, its difference mainly expresses in breathing velocity and breath company's two index signs to change.Three: acid rains impact the content of CAT, total sugar and H₂O₂, dissolubility when acid rains influenced two types of seeds to sprout, it three index signs coerced to the acid rain time of respond to the way not to exert consistently.Four: two types of seeds are different to the reaction of acid rain and take a comprehensive view of breath the variety, H₂O₂ content, dissolubility sugar contents of the function, CAT activity etc. the variety of the index sign, combine two sprout respond to of index sign, can get the rice seed anti-acid rain ability stronger than the sorghum seed.
