Ultraviolet rays which come to the earth is increasing due to the destruction of the ozonosphere. Therefore, the incidence of skin cancel has risen greatly. Now,people has come to realize the hazard of ultraviolet rays. The mostly recognized ultraviolet absorbers are benzophenone, benzotriazole and so on in the world . These absorbers are not functionally reactive,so they can not react with cotton and linen fabrics easily. A research shows that cotton is the most easily transmitted one among all the fabrics by ultraviolet rays. However, cotton fabric is the mostly welcome summer cloth due to its good moisture absorption and softness. Thus, it is really important to create a certain kind of reactive ultraviolet absorber which can help protect human health .In this paper, we use triazine, resorcinol and sodium sulfosalicylate dehydrate as materials to synthesize two reactive triazine ultraviolet absorbers for cotton, which have reactive functional group,and can be reacted with hydroxyl group of cotton to become fixation. By choosing reactant ratio, reactive solvent, reactive temperature and the reactive time, the best reactive conditions are obtained. In addition,the reactive ultraviolet absorber had been characterized by the IR,1H-NMR and ESI+-MS.The cotton had been finished by the ultraviolet absorber. By studying the finishing time,temperature and other conditions, the best finishing process are obtained. The ultraviolet radiation ability of the finished fabrics had been obtained by the ultraviolet spectrophotometer with integral ball, which reflects the anti-ultraviolet ability being very good, and also have little impact on white of fabric. The finishing cotton fabric in the ultraviolet of sodium sulfosalicylate dehydrate is also tested and turned to be better than unfinished. It reflects that the absorbefacient have good washability and excellent application prospects.
