Turbine blades are core components in turbine, which play important roles in energy transformation. Of all the manufacturing methods, forging become a important way to produce turbine blade due to it's special superiority. By now, with the rapid development of computer technology, the technique of computer aided design and manufacture have been widely used in the field of turbine blade design and manufacturing.Unigraphics is the most advanced and closed integral CAD/CAM/CAE software in the field of manufacturing industry. Its open architecture permits the user to design application program to expand new function . UG is only used now as an object oriented software of design to the domestic blade manufacturer ,which makes the blade design cycle much too long. As a result, more and more attentions have been paid to the the special system of blade modeling and die designing through UG further development. On the basis of the conclusion to WTB factory experience , special system of blade-die designing has been researched on with the help of UG/Open GRIP. Specific works included as follows:(1) Optimization to the traditional methods of block design and then make the block generate automatically through programming.(2)Parting by flash instead of parting by sheet, make the course of parting completed automatically and generated the bridge\flash cutter\finisher die\shaving die automatically through further development.(3)Design the mold patterns automatically , read the data points of the curves and write the data to table according to the requirement.(4)Generate the drawings automatically.(5)Carrying out finite analysis of forging process of turbine blade using DEFORM-3D. turbine blade forging transformation rules are obtained through the study of the stress and strain in different sections of the blade.
