Nano-Ag/P(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid(AMPS)-methyl methacrylate (MMA)) composites were prepared with the Ag+ reduced to nano-Ag particles and the monomers formed polymer simultaneously by ultrasonic in containing AMPS and MMA silver nitrate solution without initiator and reducer.Transmission electron microscope(TEM) showed that nano-Ag were highly dispersed in polymer and uniform in size(in the range of 5~15nm).The testing results of UV-Vis spectrum showed that the particles size and distribution of nano-Ag were affected by ultrasonic time.The results of Fourier transfer infrared spectrometer(FT-IR),UV-Vis spectrum,fluorescence spectrum indicated that there were chemical actions between namo-Ag and polymer. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) proved that interaction between nano-Ag and the functional group of polymer was formed by coordination between nano-Ag and oxygen of the ester functional group of P(AMPS-MMA).The testing results of TG-DSC showed that the decomposition temperature and glass transition temperature of nano-Ag/P(AMPS-MMA) composites were lower than that ofP(AMPS-MMA).Nano-Ag/P(AMPS-MMA) composite hydrogel were prepared in the above system added crosslinking agent N,N'-methylene-bisacrylamide(MBA).TEM showed that nano-Ag were highly dispersed in hedrogel and uniform in size(in the range of 10~20nm).That the swelling ratio of nano-Ag/P(AMPS-MMA) composite hydrogel was bigger than that of P(AMPS-MMA) hydrogel,which showed that the water absorption was enhanced by nano-Ag.The thermo-sensitive of nano-Ag/P(AMPS-MMA) composite hydrogel and P(AMPS-MMA) hydrogel indicated that the thermo-sensitive of nano-composite hydrogels was improved by nano-Ag.The silver electrode modified nano-Ag/P(AMPS-MMA) composites was prepared by electrochemical growth.The modified silver electrode showed that the activity of the modified silver electrode was higher than that of silver electrode by cyclic voltammetry. That electrochemical response of I- at the modified silver electrode was studied by differential pulse and the results generally showed that the logarithm of I- concentrations is linear with the peak current in I- concentrations for 2×10-5~2×10-2mol/L.
