Development And Research Of The Bulky Tussah Silk Fabric

AS a new-style silk fiber, the bulky tussah silk is getting more attention because of its uniformity, looseness e, softness and warmth retention. Based on the introduction on the character, processing method, preparation method and the factors of the bulkiness, this paper studied the normal tussah and bulky tussah silk on the research of fiber, silk thread and fabric.By testing the diameter and weight of the fiber, the puff effect of the bulky silk has been studied. By testing the strength and elongation performance and elastic of the normal tussah and bulked tussah, the effect of the character of silk thread has been discussed. Based on the designing of specification, proofing and finishing, six tussah fabrics have been designed. Moreover, the thickness, fullness, protraction and dimensional stability of the bulky tussah silk fabrics have been obtained by the use of FAST .The study of the fabric performance affords reference for the further research on tussah fabrics.
