At present, in our country we find it a great difficulty to train talent of mechanical manufacturing and automation with the undeveloped experiment system. Therefore it is necessary to develop a set of advanced open experimental system which can meet the demand of training mechanical manufacturing talent in the new century.The paper analyzed the teaching status for the major of mechanical manufacturing and the demand for teaching experimental system,on the basis of which ,the paper presented a automation teaching experiment oriented system—clamp automation teaching experimental system based on PLC.First of all,according to the course-teaching status for major of mechanical manufacturing in our country,the paper put forward idea to design the HJD-JZ2 clamp automaion teaching experimental system based on PLC and designed the overall structure for the system.Secondly,the paper made correlative research on the part of experimental mechanical system and open electrical control system.It gave a description of the working and control principium for the clamps.And it designed their constructure using the module-method.Then it described the function and character of the information processing unit—FX2x-48MT,on the basis of which,it designd basic input and output circuit for PLC.Then,it designed the step motor's control circuit with the function of frequency-dividing basing the example of NC ratator.In addition,the paper explained AC servo-motor'control method ,designed the AC servo-motor'control circuit basing the NC graduator.It designed the circuit for hydraulic control system in the end.Thirdly,the paper studied the principle of the communication technology between PLC and PC and it also studied the detailed method to realize.It took the PC-controlled experiment of the experimental system as examples to narrate control principium and method in two-level control system along with the application of communication technology in two-level control system .Finally,the paper took two typical teaching-experiment for automation clamps to demonstrate the function of the system.
