As three-dimensional digital solid model can accurately and completely express the product information, it is be widely used in offshore platform design and development. At present, most of three-dimensional digital solid models of offshore platform were built by professional software, such as shipbuilding software and steel structure software. It needs to spend a lot of time and manpower. And the frequent revision of the design program is making a significant increase of workload in modeling. As a result, the rapid establishment of offshore platform structure model will be able to improve the efficiency of modeling and reduce the workload of reconstruction or revision.This article uses the parameterization method and the Object-Oriented technology, under the AutoCAD platform, using Visual C++ 6.0 and ARX to realize development of the software system. The main research contents of this article are as follows:(1) According to structural characteristic of Jack-up, after its character was extracted, filtered and assorted, the restraint relations between the parameter are built. At last, full scale constraint of the model is established as well as dimension and characteristic driven is realized.(2) Base knowledge engineering's related knowledge, established the specifications knowledge library in the ACCESS database and adopting production rule as knowledge representation. The rules of specification about structure designing in offshore Jack-up platform were stored to knowledge base as knowledge source. And use T-SQL to realize the knowledge inference and computation. And the final part information is got by basic parameters inference. So this system can judge and check while modeling.(3) Using the Object-Oriented technology to establish the platform component class in the system. Defined the public attributes and methods in the base class, and derives the corresponding subclass according to the concrete component. Through assign parameter to the part class, can obtain the geometric model of entity.
