Rotating two-reel coiler with its high efficiency, continuous strip coiler way has become a cold rolling strip steel production line, in particular, is the continuous cold-rolled strip steel production line of choice for coiling equipment. The structural design of compact equipment, and equipment installation space can be saved for saving unit investment. When used for reconstruction, it can transform volume to a minimum and also could be applied to the production line the entrance of the open-book operation. The equipment in foreign countries has been widely used.Rotating two-reel coiler was a rotating two-reel coiler. It belongs to the category of large high-speed rotary machines and its internal drive system very complicate (Transmission series, a long drive shaft, complicated structure), so it is very difficult for designing and producting. At present the rotating two-reel coiler was estimated that there will be more than 15 in domestic steel mills,however, which both were designed by foreign or manufactured with domestic cooperation, and some of the key pieces still introducted from freign countries.Papers main elements on the following:(1) Structural analysis of rotating two-reel coiler:It analysed of rotating two-reel coiler of the structural characteristics, the layout position of coiler in the cold rolling unit and the structural feature of the main component of the coiler,as the reel,the reel sizing devices, the transmission mechanism , the rotating devices of big wheel, the locking device of big wheel, active supporting, pressure roller, belt Wrapper etc. It analysed of the work process and working principle of the rotating two-reel coiler in the cold rolling unit.It analysed of the technical difficulties and the technical features during assembling of the rotating two-reel coiler.(2) The main parameters of rotating two-reel coiler:Through collecting the information of the imported equipment in Steel and after digestion and absorption,we developed the product specifications, the main coil technology and equipment parameters for the technical researching of the rotating two-reel coiler.It analysed of the Coiler's main parameters: the reel diameter, the coiling tension, the coiling speed regulation, the radial pressure on the reel, the capacity of reel sizing fuel tank and size.It calculated and determined the main motor power of reel coiler in load state and preparated the software for calculating the main motor power when load and parameters(coiling speed, coiling tension, etc.) had changed.(3) Analysis the main pieces of the rotating two-reel coiler:Through the establishment of three-dimensional entitative model of the rotating two-reel coiler's important pieces(the main motor, Internal hollow shaft, External hollow shaft,the big wheel gear)using PRO/E , then it analysised of the stress of the main section using ANSYS when load and parameters (coiling speed, coiling tension, etc.) had changed.(4) The results and prospects of rotating two-reel coiler:Through the digestion and absorption for device, the structure and working principle of the two-reel coiler has been mastered .Through the finite element analysis, it solved some problems in practical project and improved the accuracy of the analysis and design quality compared with traditional methods . To further improve the design of the type of rotating two-reel coiler related pieces and service life provides a reliable theoretical basis.The research in paper provides the corresponding design theory and methods for independent researching and designing the type coiler and offers practical ways and means for achieving the goal of producting rotating two-reel coiler in domestic ultimately. So the paper is an important theoretical and practical value.
