Stealth technology is an effective method to improve the weapon system's survivability and penetration ability, which has been paid more attention by the countries all over the world. Structural radar absorbing materials have many advantages, such as radar wave absorbing, loads and force bearing, designed performance , light weight, high strength, and so on. It has been widely used in many parts of airplane, such as aircraft wing, tail fins and fuselage. The essence of radar stealth technology is to reduce the radar cross section (RCS) of the object as far as possible. Therefore, precision calculation and prediction of RCS is the extremely important content of aircraft stealth design. In this paper, several structural types and electromagnetic parameters of structural radar absorption materials are designed. Their electromagnetic scattering characteristics are calculated and analyzed by FDTD method. First, multi-layer board structure, foam sandwich and honeycomb sandwich structures are designed and analyzed. Then, aircraft wing is selected as our research object because of it is the main scattering source. Three stealth structures of leading edge of the metal wing are designed, including foam sandwich, honeycomb sandwich and triangle ripple sandwich. Electromagnetic scattering models are established. Calculation results show that triangle ripple sandwich structure's stealthy performance is the best. Finally, stealth performance of adaptive morphing wing is analyzed. Results shows that it's RCS reduction is more significant than traditional wing structures..Based on the research of electromagnetic characteristics of stealth structures in this paper, satisfactory stealthy performance of several composite material structures and the leading edge of metal wing are achieved. It provides an effective technical method for design of wing structures with low observability.
