The catalytic distillation is a coupling process that organically combined the catalytic reaction with the distillation separation in the same equipment. One of the key technologies is the catalyst packing in the catalytic reactive distillation zone. SRST is a new type of Catalyst packing structure. System experiment and theoretical research on its hydrodynamics performan- ce were studied in aφ600mm plexiglass tower with the air-water system.The influences of the key parameters on tray pressure drop, weeping and liquid lift-up was investigated. The key parameters include kinetic energy factor in plate hole, clear liquid height and height of cap. Experiment shows that both the dry plate pressure drop and the wet plate pressure drop increase with the increase of the kinetic energy factor in plate hole but have no influence of the height of cap. The wet plate pressure drop linearly ascends as the clear liquid height increases. Liquid lift-up increases at first then decreases with the increasing of the kinetic energy factor in plate hole, increases with the clear liquid height increasing and the height of cap decreasing, but as the kinetic energy factor in plate hole increased, the influence of height of cap will gradually decreased. The liquid leakage decreases with the increase of the kinetic energy factor in plate hole and the decrease of the clear liquid height, but the influence of the clear liquid height isn't obvious when approaching the weeping point.The correlation of wet tray pressure drop with kinetic energy factor in plate hole, clear liquid height and physical parameter was obtained. Based on the energy conservation law and mass conservation law, liquid lift-up mathematic model was established which considered the influence of operation status, plate hole form, cap structure, physical parameter, etc. A simplified model and the formula of liquid lift-up were obtained by analyzing experiment data. Compare the calculating result with the experiment data, the maximum relative error is 16% and the average relative error is 4.24%, it can be used to engineering design.
