In the practical operation of the 1st FGD system of Taishan power plant,the performance of FGD mist eliminator is far lower than the design targets.Therefore, desulfurization system often gets blocked.In this paper,the cold state test rig is designed and amount of experimental research are made on mist eliminator.Results of test show that the increase of demisting series has little effect on the demisting efficiency.The demisting efficiency shows a first rise and then decreasing process.The speed of air stream has a buffering process rather than reduce suddenly when it is over the critical velocity.It will decrease on a certain degree of the buffering process.Sheet has little influence on demisting efficiency.The demisting efficiency of the corrugated baffle with barb Mist Eliminator is universally higher than the zigzag baffle with barb.Meanwhile,the numerical calculation of Gas-Liqiud tow phase flow in physical model theoretically shows the influential factors of the internal structure of mist eliminator,as well as the influential relationship of external factors.In addition,the experimental result and the result of numerical are contrasted.The research paper provides beneficial reference for the practical transformation of power plant as well as the design and manufacture of mist eliminator.
