In this paper,the process of the preparation of preparing fluorinated epoxy resins by 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro propane(BPAF) and epichlorohydrin has been studied.The fluorinated epoxy resin coating was characterized by IR,DSC,and et al.The experimental data shows that the coatings with good properties have been obtained.The main studying content is as follows:First,the technique of epoxy with fluorinate of low molecular weigh has been studied,The experimental data shows the best synthetic condition of one step by two time alkaline was the ratio of BPAF and ECH was 1:10,the mass fraction of NaOH was 28.157%,temperature was 95℃,the reactive time was 4.5hrs,NaOH solution was added two times,In this way,the expoy resin coating fluorinate of epoxy value 0.50 can be obtained which will not only use as adhesive but also used to prepare highter molecular weight fluorinated epoxy coatings.Then,the best synthetic condition that epichlorohydrin and BPAF reaction to get a low molecular weigh fluorinated epoxy resin by phase transfer catalysis was the ratio of BPAF and ECH was 1:10,the mass fraction of NaOH was 28.157%,the catalyst was selected as tetraethyl ammonium chloride of 1%,the reaction temperature was set as 70℃,the concentration of NaOH was 28.57%,the reactive time was set as 4.5hrs.The obtained epoxy value was 0.53 and the reaction yield is 82%.Finally,The best synthetic condition that epichlorohydrin and BPAF reduction to get a high molecular weigh fluorinated containing bisphenol epoxy resin by phase transfer catalysis was the ratio of BPAF and ECH was 1:1.6,the mass fraction of NaOH was 8%,the etherization temperature was 80℃,the epoxy value was 0.160, the reactive time was 5hrs and the reaction yield is 92.5%.IR analysis demonstrated that fluorine atoms were introducted,the thermal analysis by DSC revealed that the thermal performance of fluorinated epoxy resin was enhanced.By comparison of an ordinary epoxy resin and fluorinated epoxy coatings,the flexibility,abrasion resistance,corrosion resistance,solvent resistance of the fluorinated epoxy resin were improved.It is expected that if the fluorinated epoxy resin could be formdated into coatings, the coating will be widely used in chemical plants,oil refineries,tank linings,floor paint,factory ship,paper mills,mechanical surface treatment,water treatment plants, aerospace and other situations.
