Now, more and more people pay attention to natural dyes again in order to prevent synthetic dyes from pollution of the environment or doing harm to people's health. Natural dyes not only have unique color but also non-toxic,have no irritating quality to the human,have natural health care function.They are good compatible with the ecological environment. Along with the development of the technology of Synthetic fiber, high-grade fiber were continually developed,so it is essential to study on dyeing of polyester fiber with natural dyes.In this article the structure of high purity emodin and chrysophanol, which bought from the market and their stabilities were discussed,the results showed that both emodin and Chrysophanol are stable.Dyeing polyester fiber with these two dyes was based on their good resistence to high temperature.In the course of research on mechanism of these two kinds of pigments in PLA, PTT, PET polyester fiber's,we discovered that the emodin and chrysophanol followed the Nernst sorption mechanism in all these three polyester fibers,it is similar to disperse dye. The appetency of emodin and chrysophanol to PTT is good, the promotions of emodin and chrysophanol on PLA,PTT,PET are all bad, the color depth almost achieve equilibrium value when the density of dye reach 2%.Afterward the optimum dyeing craf of direct dyeing has obtained through the single-factor experiment and then discussed the mordant dyeing craft. Meanwhile the color depth of these three polyester fiber dyed by the mordant dyeing craft have no big change. Crockfastness and washing fastness of the fabric dyed with emodin and chrysophanol are very good, but light fastness is not as good as crockfastness and washing fastness.The test results of antibacterial property, anti-ultraviolet property pointed: the fabric dyed with emodin and chrysophanol have good antibacterial and anti-ultraviolet properties,the inhibition ratio of Staphylococcus aureus is 90%,the inhibition ratio of Escherichia coli on fabric dye by chrysophanol is 40%,and emodin reaches 60%. The anti-ultraviolet ability of these three polyester fibric dyed by chrysophanol and emodin distinct enhanced,completely reached the standard of anti-ultraviolet products.
