Cyclotriphosphazene acrylate derivatives with two kinds of alkoxy groups substituted were synthesized in this dissertation. Using this two intermediates as monomer, cyclophoaphazene acrylate copolymer was prepared via emulsion polymerization and applied on cotton fabric finishing with excellent retardant effect.Penylchlorocyclotriphosphazene acrylate intermediate was given fromn the condensation of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene with hydroxyethyl acrylate. Then, using sodium methoxide and sodium ethylate as nucleophilic reagent, two kinds of cyclotriphosphazene acrylatederivatives substituted with different alkyloxa groups were synthesized from the intermediate. Their structures were characterized by FT-IR, NMR tech. The two cyclotriphosphazene acrylates were applied on cotton fabric finishing after emulsion polymerization. The thermal stability of cotton fabric was tested before and after treated. As a result, the flame retardant effect was found depending on the phosphorus content of finishing emulsion. And the retardant effect of phosphazene methoxide was better than the ethylate derivative. Using the former as monomer, the co-polymer emulsion was applied on cotton fabric finishing with excellent flame retardant effect. The combustion time was tested to be only 6.3s,and with carbon length to be 7cm, when the phosphorus content of co-polymer is 4%.The structure of cotton fabrics was characterized by FT-IR and X-ray diffraction. The thermal decomposition behavior and surface morphology of treated fabric was studied through TG and SEM respectively, and the phosphorus content on surface was studied by EDS.
